Presteel Oy was established in 1997 as a joint venture between Rautaruukki and Valmet. The objective was mainly to manufacture dimensionally accurate rolls for paper machines. For this reason, high quality, on-time delivery and high dimensional accuracy of our ready-made components have been the cornerstones of our company from the very start. These are challenged daily by the markets; challenges which we are well equipped to face.

All our operations are certified in compliance with the latest quality and environmental management standards. Presteel is a part of the Swedish steel manufacturer SSAB Corporation, and it is located at the Port of Raahe next to steelworks.

Our customer base has expanded over the years – today our products are renowned in several fields of industry. Our main market areas are Finland, Scandinavia and the rest of Western Europe, in addition to which we have regular deliveries to South America.

The most common applications are round components varying from hoist drums and valves to large-scale storage tanks. Between those two ends of the continuum, we offer a great variety of other products, from rolls for machines to bridges and pilings, to name but a few.

Our high-capacity press brake enables us to bend high-strength materials and thick plates. Thanks to our state-of-the-art submerged arc welding system, we can guarantee high and reliable production.
